Regular eye tests and examinations are paramount for every individual not only for safe vision (often a certain distance is legal requirement for some occupations) but also for eye health.
How many of us think about EYE HEALTH ? Generally we only think about this when a problem arises. Some conditions are uncomfortable, unsightly and minor, but some can be more serious and in some cases lead to permanent damage.
Simple things such as eating right (a diet rich in fruit and leafy greens and omega 3 fatty acids can help reduce the risk of dry eyes, macular degeneration, glaucoma and much more), drinking lots of water, taking the correct vitamin’s and minerals (see below) washing your hands before touching your eyes, not smoking, wear protective work place eyewear, wearing correctly prescribed glasses and contact lenses and wearing protective sun glasses that blocks out 99 to 100 % of the harmful UV rays.
Don’t be discouraged by price or the need for the latest fashion – is your eye sight worth the risk, really ? ( standards and labelling regarding UV protection are voluntary, not mandatory—and can be confusing).
